Reaching new heights

The YMCA of the Rockies improved fundraising
through planned giving

Putting Christian principles in action

Picture this … Incomparably beautiful mountains, extensive wildlife, shimmering lakes and all the offerings of the Rocky Mountain National Park. YMCA of the Rockies provides each of these and more. Committed to a mission of putting Christian principles into practice through programs, staff, and facilities in an environment that builds healthy spirit, mind, and body for all, YMCA of the Rockies changes lives each day across multiple Rocky Mountain locations.

How exactly do they accomplish their mission? With a three-pronged approach. First, they serve conferences of a religious, educational, or recreational nature, while also providing unifying experiences for families. Second, they offer traditional summer camping experiences for boys and girls. Lastly, they serve their staff with leadership opportunities and productive work experiences.

“Since partnering with Texas Presbyterian Foundation, we have benefitted from their expertise and exceptional reputation, while also affording the opportunity to develop our planned giving options.”

Whether it’s a group, family, individual, or campers, YMCA of the Rockies is dedicated to developing their five core values: caring, honesty, respect, responsibility, and faith for daily living in a Christian environment. TPF is honored to partner with them as they touch the lives of so many in such an extraordinary culture.

According to Julie Watkins, their CEO, “Each year, YMCA of the Rockies hosts hundreds of families and individuals who need time away from their daily lives to reconnect with those who matter most to heal, rest, or rejuvenate. Our generous donors and hundreds of thousands of guests make it possible for us to make that happen through our philanthropic programs.”

Strengthening connections with dedicated donors

YMCA of the Rockies has been blessed with a robust and loyal donor base, and for many of our donors, the Y is their home away from home in the mountains. The beauty of the Rocky Mountains and their own experiences as guests have created deep bonds and impacted many of our key supporters.

“We value and deeply appreciate their generosity and sincere belief in the work we do as an organization. Since partnering with Texas Presbyterian Foundation, we have benefitted from their expertise and exceptional reputation, while also affording the opportunity to develop our planned giving options. Trust is a key element in a financial partnership and we have the luxury of knowing assets managed by TPF are in very capable hands.”
